    We stream obese with greed between our teeth
        toward the precipice
            and drag down all life in our wake

    We strip the firmament
        drain the oceans
            suck dry the earth
                poison the soil
                    and ask for more

    We have forgotten our celestial origins
        We heed not the voice of nature
            We feel only relentless appetite

    We revel in unequal struggle
        guarantee injustice
            glorify conflict
                and germinate terror

    We seek in vain to bind the very essence of freedom
        all to satisfy
            all to fill
                our cake box to overflowing
