we lease this earth …
    the air, the land, the waters
            for our children …
                and their children …

no-one owns anything …
    we lease everything …
        our own existence is but a flash lease …
            in the estate of time

our politicians …
    do not lead …
        they are steeped in the grip …
            of power and greed

the single unifying truth is …
    we belong to each other …

each of us must passionately …
    embrace this truth …
