All Sides, Now

Sun and moon across the stars
    Winter snows and cable cars
Summer rains and ice cream bars
I've looked at time that way
But now I've learned I'm not alone
    I'm a part of everyone
So many futures held on loan
            I measured time this way
I've looked at time from all sides now
From young and old, and still somehow
        It's timeless cycles I recall
I really do know time after all
Share and care all we know
Hearts and souls in full flow
And every day a gentle glow
I've looked at love that way
I know this love is not perchance
    Freely held in resonance
        Timeless moments mark our dance
            I've measured love that way
I've looked at love from all sides now
    Without desire, and still somehow
        It's love's sweet freedom I recall
I really do know love after all
Embracing the here and now is key
    Diversity in harmony
When to sing and when to be
I've lived my life that way
A simple truth is known to all
Love each other or we fall
        Life is but a waterfall
            That only flows one way
I've looked at life from all sides now
From birth to death, and still somehow
It's lifelong loves that I recall
I really do know life after all
